Do the doctors at Eun Skin Clinic speak English?
Yes. Dr. Diane Kim, M.D. is a native English speaker (graduate of the University of Michigan) and provides medical care for international patients. Dr. Tae Eun Kim, M.D., Ph.D., the founding director, is a board-certified dermatologist with 36 years of clinical experience. You can book a consultation in English via KakaoTalk or WhatsApp at +82-10-5437-8980.
How is acne treated at your dermatology clinic in Cheongdam?
A board-certified dermatologist first examines your skin with a skin diagnostic device, then builds a personalized plan combining extraction, oral or topical medication, and laser treatment that regulates the sebaceous glands. Our signature Double PDT (laser-based photodynamic therapy) targets both the sebaceous glands beneath the skin and the redness and enlarged pores on the surface. Three to six sessions at one-to-two-week intervals are usually recommended, depending on your skin condition.
Can you treat acne scars and enlarged pores?
Yes. Red post-acne marks are treated with vascular and micro-needle lasers, while depressed scars and enlarged pores are treated with nano-fractional radio-frequency, micro-needle laser, and PRP (platelet-rich plasma) skin regeneration to induce collagen remodeling in the dermis. Surgical and traumatic scars can also be treated; for scar prevention, laser treatment is best started within six weeks after stitch removal. Results vary by individual.
Do you treat melasma and pigmentation?
Yes. Melasma requires repeated treatment over multiple sessions, while lentigo, freckles, age spots, and skin tags often improve within one or two sessions (additional sessions may be needed depending on your skin). We use a 694nm ruby laser with high melanin absorption, a Q-switched Nd:YAG laser, alexandrite laser toning, and CO2 laser, selected after diagnosis. Sun protection after treatment is essential to prevent recurrence.
What lifting and skin-tightening treatments do you offer?
We combine HIFU (high-intensity focused ultrasound reaching the SMAS layer) with radio-frequency devices, usually recommended once or twice a year. Depending on your skin, we also use multi-layer laser therapy (MLT), acoustic-wave lifting, and skin boosters. The treatment plan is decided after an in-person diagnosis by the dermatologist.
Do you treat allergy and atopic dermatitis?
Yes. Our skin disease clinic treats chronic inflammatory and allergic skin conditions including atopic dermatitis, seborrheic dermatitis, and rosacea. The dermatologist diagnoses your condition and combines medication with skin-barrier recovery care and lifestyle guidance for long-term management.
Is the treatment painful? Is anesthesia available?
Most procedures are comfortably performed with topical numbing cream. For patients who are sensitive to pain, sedation is available in cooperation with an anesthesiologist.
How much downtime should I expect?
In most cases one week is enough to return to daily life. Deeper lesions such as syringoma or xanthelasma may leave redness a little longer. Your doctor will explain the expected downtime for your specific treatment before the procedure.
How much do treatments cost?
Costs depend on your skin condition and the scope of treatment, so we provide a quote after diagnosis. Please contact us via KakaoTalk or WhatsApp at +82-10-5437-8980 for a consultation with Dr. Diane Kim.
Who performs the procedures?
The doctors perform the procedures directly. Dr. Tae Eun Kim, the founding director, has treated patients in Cheongdam since opening the clinic in 1990 and participates directly from the first consultation. Dr. Diane Kim provides care for English-speaking patients.
